Happy New Year, everyone! I hope all of you had a safe, happy, and fun holiday! I don’t know about you but I love this time of year. The weather has changed (a big plus in Florida), I get to spend time with friends and family, and with 2019 here I get to focus on what this new year will bring.
Since my most recent post it has been a crazy last few months to end the year. With the holidays brings the need for family photos for holiday cards, gifts, and creating memories. I was truly blessed with so many families asking for my help and I wanted to share just a few of my favorites from this season with all of you. Enjoy!
The Wilkes Family
What can I say about the Wilkes Family? Such an amazing family to work with. We set the location for this shoot at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL and it turned out awesome. We had originally chosen a different location that was close by but when I had arrived it was packed with people and I knew it would not be ideal for the types of photos they were looking for. Luckily I always arrive early just in case and was able to contact them before to arrange a new setting for our shoot. Their kids were so fun and when they smiled it just lit up my viewfinder!
Thank you, Wilkes Family for spending time with me!
The Yaw Family
I had the pleasure of meeting the Yaw Family after taking school photos of their son. As you can see, you just can’t take a bad photo of this little boy. His eyes and smile light up any room and when he looked at me through my lens I couldn’t help but smile too! We took these photos at Kraft Azalea Garden in Winter Park, Florida on a day that we couldn’t have had any better weather. I was a bit worried because right before this all we had was rain but it truly couldn’t have been a better day.
While photographing this family I was touched with how much love they had for one another and it definitely shows in the final photos. Thank you, Yaw Family!
The LaTorre Family
When I was told by this family they wanted to do Christmas themed photos, I was excited. Then when they said, “One of us will be Mrs. Claus, one of us will be an elf, and another will be Rudolph…” I was just plain giddy and knew this was going to be a fun shoot. I mean, just look how fun these photos are?! Sometimes sessions can be stressful but this one was on the exact opposite side of the spectrum. Jumping around, letting their personalities shine through, and having fun together as a family…I was ready to hop into my car and pick up some Christmas PJ’s for my family after we were done!
These were all shot at Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando, Florida and with all the Christmas decorations it made the perfect setting to compliment their outfits.
Thank you, again LaTorre Family! I had a blast!
Love the photos! Great work and we really appreciated all you did.
